What is RAMP?

RAMP is an outdoor program for youth based on use of the nature.

Through a longer stay in the nature each youth is given a renewed opportunity to rediscover understanding and respect for themselves, the nature and each other.

In RAMP we put our weight on each individual and sends impulses through games and fun among other things. We focus on creating a good and safe unity, creating a positive network, to give everyone a chance to be themselves on their own principles.

RAMP strives to create an unforgettable trip for each and everyone, with opportunities to keep in touch with both other participants and guides even after the trip.

RAMP has a strengthening, conflict preventive  and rehabilitating effect.

What do you do on RAMP?

We are out for 1 to 3 weeks and the stay is characterized by a comprehensive specter of activities and tasks attached to living in the woods, on the mountain or along the coast, at foot, in a canoe, in traditional sailboats or with pack horses.
Youth with ants in their pants, and with an energy there ordinarily aren't room for in the society, get outlet for both creativity, initiative and creating desires.

RAMP takes base on a neutral environment where everybody starts at a blank. A composed youth group gets, in the teamwork with engaged guides and elder, an opportunity to discover that all are an important part of a big whole.

RAMP puts in the centre to follow the energy of the group and lay up the days after the natural circumstances. By playing on team with the life rhythm in the nature call forth processes for personal growth.

With RAMP the urge to explore, interaction, empathy, care, mastering and understanding of the nature gets the possibility to grow in safe surroundings.
