On the trip RAMP has:

  • Insurance in Gjensidige NOR
  • Course in canoe rescuing with the participants
  • Good and solid equpiment

Qualified guides

RAMP only brings qualified and verified guides. This implies that a guide must

  • be qualified by the RIFs (Rediscovery International Foundation) standards within
    • guidance and support
    • communication
    • conflict solving
    • group dynamics and group processes
    • use of nature
    • safety
    • program development
    • life saving and first-aid
  • have attended one of RAMPs tailor-made guide courses, and then be approved by RAMP after this
  • have attended a first-aid course
  • have knowledge within navigation
  • have spotless certificate of good conduct (police records are required)
  • have training within canoe and safety (there will also be canoe drilling on the trip with the participants for the most safe conduct)

Blisters must be nursed well!
